This all-Tchaikovsky showcase features three of the composer’s most popular works — Swan Lake, one of the most beloved ballets of all time; Symphony No. 6 “The Patheitique,” his greatest and most captivating symphony; and March Slav his rousingly patriotic tour-deforce. Join us for an evening of masterful melody, intense emotion and the world-class talent of Mississippi Symphony Orchestra musicians.
Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky Creator of some of the most popular concert and theatrical music in the current classical repertoire, including the ballets Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, Tchaikovsky was educated as a career civil servant, yet pursued his musical interest. Exposed to more Western-oriented teaching at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory he went on to forge a more personal but unmistakably Russian style.

Limited, free street parking is available at Thalia Mara Hall and its surrounding streets.
Accessible parking is available on West Street.
Paid parking is available at City Centre Garage located across Pascagoula Street on the north side of Thalia Mara Hall. All four surrounding streets allow garage entrance. The parking is about $10 a vehicle.
Dr. Timothy Coker, Professor Emeritus of Music at Millsaps College, will lead a pre-concert lecture with a fascinating look at the evening’s music at 6:30pm on the Mezzanine (top floor) of Thalia Mara Hall.
