Congratulations to Ecuadorian composer Josué Plúa Trujillo for winning the 4th POI International Composition Competition! His work “Theme and Variations on a Danzante” will be premiered on June 12, at 7:00 pm at Millsaps College.
Josué Plúa is an award-winning pianist, composer, and orchestral transcriber, who has performed in major venues across Ecuador, Spain, and Colombia. He has collaborated with noteworthy conductors and participated in international festivals and competitions.

The POI adjudicators included Crafton Beck, Dr. Andrew Sauerwein, and Nico Gutierrez.
