Emily has been playing violin with the MSO for the last 15 years and holds a Bachelor (Cedarville University) and Masters Degree (The University of Akron) in Violin Performance. Emily has been the Orchestra Librarian for MSO for the past 7 years.
In addition to these roles Emily runs a studio out of her home (Emily Williams Violin Studio) teaching violin and viola lessons to students of all ages — children as well as adults. Emily also teaches adjunct at Mississippi College and regularly performs for weddings and events in the Jackson Metro area.
As a performer she is also a member of the Marta Szlubowska Ensemble, a light classical, jazz and folk chamber group. Emily is also a string pedagogue, and the author of The Beginning Violinist, a beginning method book for violin and viola students.
