MSO Principal Bassoonist Taylor Shorey is an active performer of solo and chamber music. He earned his BA at Florida State University and graduate degrees at Colburn School and Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Shorey has been a featured soloist with the National Repertory Orchestra and toured with the Colburn wind quintet. Honors include first prize in the 2023 William Winstead Solo and Artistry Competition and sole US representative in the final round of the Fernand Gillet-Hugo Fox Competition.
