FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MSO Features Nine Film Scores in the Movie Music of “Star Wars” Concert
An epic evening of galactic adventure awaits this weekend
Jackson, Mississippi, February 8, 2022—On Saturday, February 12th, 2022, at 7:30pm, The Mississippi Symphony Orchestra continues its 77th Season Pops series with Pops II, “Star Wars”. Performance is generously sponsored by St. Dominic’s and Pileum Corporation.
Star Wars fans unite for an evening of live symphonic sound powered by the movie music of John Williams’ genius. The outstanding musicians of the MSO will perform Episodes One through Eight, and Rogue One at this Saturday’s concert. Costumes are welcome. Light sabers will be on sale in the lobby prior to the concert and during intermission.
Tickets $27 and up (students/children $5) and can be purchased online at www.msorchestra.com. Box office will reopen at 6:30pm on the evening of the concert at Thalia Mara Hall. By Executive Order, masks are required and must be worn throughout the concert. No lobby concessions.
