DESCRIPTION:Sundown at Renaissance\nCome enjoy an outdoor bluegrass musical event with the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra\, featuring Bill Ellison\, Temperance Babcock-Steiskal\, and Jeff Perkins performing on the Renaissance Show Fountain Stage Thursday\, October 12 6:30-8:30pm. Grab a snack and a Go Cup from Malco Renaissance Cinema Grill & Bar or other nearby Renaissance restaurants and join us on the green space for this FREE concert by presenter Renaissance at Colony Park. \nChairs and blankets are welcome.\nNo outside food or beverages please. \nProgram includes:\nElmer Bernstein\, Arr. Patrick Russ\nMain Themes from The Magnificent Seven\nJohn Barry\, Arr. Steven Rosenhaus\nSelections from Dances with Wolves\nRichard Hayman\nPops Hoedown\nJohn Williams\nOverture to the Cowboys\narr. Leroy Anderson\nChicken Reel\nAaron Copland\nHoedown from Rodeo\nRonan Hardiman\nLord of the Dance \n\n\n\n\n\n  \nBTJ Trio\nBill Ellison\, Temperance Babcock and Jeff Perkins build their distinctive sound on the classic combination of fiddle\, bass and acoustic guitar.  Their vocal harmonies and instrumental arrangements cover the musical spectrum from Bill Monroe to the Everly Brothers to Old Crow Medicine Show.\nEllison has been a mainstay in Mississippi’s acoustic music scene both as a performer and as host of Mississippi Public Broadcasting’s “Grassroots”.  Babcock\, a classically trained violinist and former member of the Mississippi Symphony\, has studied under Felicia Moye and has recorded with members of Ricky Skaggs’s band Kentucky Thunder.  Bill and Temperance are joined by well-known bassist and vocalist Jeff Perkins.\nThe BTJ Trio has been much in demand performing for the Jackson Advertising Federation\, the National Governors Conference at the Hard Rock Casino on the MS Gulf Coast\, the Neshoba County Fair\, and featured at MSO’s own Pepsi Pops.\nContact:\nBill Ellison (601) 832-4042\nbillellison54@gmail.com\nFor more information on “Grassroots” visit www.mpbonline.org \n \n\nFree Concert
