The Master Camerata Orchestra will be performing the world premiere “October Light” by Michele Allegro (Italy) with star conductor Germán Gutiérrez. \nEnjoy the stunning sounds of Dvořák\, Saint-Saëns Cello Concerto with soloist Francisco Vila\, as well as music from South America. \nFor more details\, expand toggles below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPOI 2025 Concert Schedule\n\n\n\nTuesday\, June 10 – Masters in the Spotlight (free)\nWednesday\, June 11 – Skyline Serenades (ticketed fundraiser)\nThursday\, June 12 – Classic Notes: A Chamber Music Extravaganza (free)\nFriday\, June 13 – New Sounds\, Timeless Classics (free)\nSaturday\, June 14 – Horizons: Grand Finale (free) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStar conductor Germán Gutiérrez\n\n\n\nProfessor Germán Augusto Gutiérrez has served as Director of Orchestras and Professor of Orchestral Studies at Fort Worth’s Texas Christian University (TCU) as well as Director of TCU’s Latin American Music Center and biennial Latin American Music Festival since 1996.  Since 2000\, Dr. Gutiérrez has also served as Music Director of the Fort Worth Youth Orchestra (FWYO).  \nMaestro Gutiérrez is a frequent guest conductor of professional orchestras in the Americas\, Europe\, Middle East\, Asia\, Africa and Oceania.  \nUnder his baton\, the TCU Symphony and the FWYO have achieved exceptional levels of recognition. Both groups have traveled on numerous international tours. With the TCU Symphony\, Maestro Gutiérrez has also conducted the world premieres of more than sixty contemporary works. \nFor his involvement and dedication to TCU\, Maestro Gutiérrez received the Dean’s Teaching Award\, the Dean’s Award for Research and Creative Activity\, and the 2003 Chancellor’s Award for Distinguished Research and Creative Activity\, the highest award that the university bestows. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGuest cellist Francisco Vila\n\n\n\nVila is a soloist and chamber musician renowned for his sensitivity\, penetrating sound and technical mastery of his instrument. His performance career spans Asia\, Europe\, and the Americas\, where he has captivated audiences with his artistry\, depth and unique sound.\nFrancisco’s collaborations highlight his versatility and dedication to musical excellence\, performing alongside celebrated artists such as Gary Hoffman\, Cho-Liang Lin\, Maria João Pires\, Nobuko Imai\, and members of the Juilliard String Quartet\, among others. \nMaking his orchestral debut at the age of 14\, he has appeared as a soloist with renowned orchestras worldwide\, including the Houston Symphony\, the Simón Bolivar Symphony Orchestra\, the Liège Royal Philharmonic\, the Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia\, the Santander Festival Orchestra\, all principal orchestras in his native Ecuador\, among others.
