Mesmerizing melodies and saxophone limelight. Featuring Project Fusion Saxophone Quartet
Philip Glass brings soulful colors, breezy lyricism and distinctive style to his surprising and delightful Concerto for Saxophone Quartet and Orchestra. The piece puts award-winning Project Fusion center stage, including founding member Dannel Espinoza of USM. Enveloping the melodic evening are Grainger’s charming Molly on the Shore, Puccini’s sublime The Chrysanthemums and Schubert’s exquisitely touching Symphony No. 4.
